A&E Chiropody and Podiatry services
A & E Chiropody Care started in 1998 and has expanded over the years. In 2001 A&E Orthopaedic Ltd was born specifically to provide the more specialist service such as Orthopaedic Footwear and Lower Limb Biomechanics & Orthotics. We now two surgeries, a waiting room and ample car parking space. Located in peaceful surroundings in a village on the outskirts of Winchester, Hampshire. Access is easy from the M3, A33 and A34. Our aim is to ensure our patients get the best possible foot care by providing a range of services and expertise rarely found in one Practice.
Adrian is a member of the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and the British Chiropody & Podiatry Association and is registered with the Health Professions Council, which regulates and protects the title of Chiropodist and Podiatrist. As well as general chiropody, Adrian is trained to carry out toe nail reconstruction, allowing the patient to have normal looking toe nails where nails have been damaged or are misshapen.
In 2001, Adrian qualified as an Orthopaedic Foot Wear and shoes Consultant after training at the NHS Foot Wear Centre at the Royal London Hospital. Being able to prescribe and fit well fitting foot wear added another dimension to the Practice and has benefited many patients.
Elaine is also registered with the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and the British Chiropody & Podiatry Association and holds a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine. She is also registered with the Health professions Council.
Elaine has always been fascinated about the biomechanics of the lower limbs and has made this her main interest and business focus, furthering her knowledge both in the UK and USA enables her to use the latest techniques in the Practice.
At A & E Chiropody Care we spend time to ensure all our patient’s foot problems are addressed, giving advice on shoes and treatments suitable for their problems and passing on information about new products and developments such as our marvelous silver socks and gloves which you can read about in the products column. These have been a real hit with all our patients who have them.
At A & E Orthopaedic the focus is on the biomechanical and foot wear aspects. By assessing the lower limbs we can prescribe orthotics to help alleviate all sorts of aches and pains in the hips, knees and feet and very often back pain too. We use a laser scanner to take an electronic cast of the feet and the latest prescription techniques which help to give our patients excellent results.
Patients who struggle to find suitable well fitting shoes can be fully measured and guided through a large selection of shoes which may be made for them, picking out their preferred colours and styles, knowing that they will have the perfect fit and be very comfort.
