Podiatry
Podiatry is a field of healthcare devoted to the study and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and sometimes knee, leg and hip (collectively known as the lower extremity). The terms podiatry and chiropody are effectively interchangeable.
Treatment for
Within A&E Orthopaedic Ltd., the podiatry treatments cover all aspects of lower limb care outside of Chiropody and Surgery. These include lower Limb Biomechanical Assessments, Gait Analysis, provision of chair side, semi-bespoke and custom orthotics, measurement, prescription and provision of stock, semi-bespoke, modular and bespoke footwear. Advice on, and provision of retail footwear adaptions. We also advise our patients on the best type of footwear for their feet taking into account any problems they may have.
